Eyewear that fits your style, your prescription, and your budget.
Optical Palace has been fitting Mississauga in designer frames and precision lenses since 2003 — an authorized Essilor dealer with one of the largest brand selections in the Dixie Outlet Mall.
Not just eyewear, but eyecare.
Since 2003
Independent, local, and still growing our brand lineup
Optical Palace has operated out of Dixie Outlet Mall for over two decades, building relationships with Mississauga families over multiple pairs and multiple generations. We carry a wide range of designer and everyday frames, and we're an authorized dealer for Essilor prescription lenses — the lens technology behind Varilux, Crizal, Eyezen, and Transitions.
Licensed Optometrist On Site
Eye exams & vision health
Book a comprehensive eye exam with our licensed optometrist — including retinal imaging and visual field testing to check your vision and overall eye health, not just your prescription.
Comprehensive Eye Exam
A full assessment of your vision and eye health — visual acuity, refraction for glasses or contacts, eye pressure, and a check for common conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
Retinal Imaging
A digital photograph of the retina at the back of the eye, letting our optometrist detect early signs of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and retinal disease that aren't visible with a standard exam alone.
Visual Field Testing
Maps your full range of peripheral vision to detect blind spots or vision loss caused by glaucoma, optic nerve damage, or certain neurological conditions — often before you'd notice any change yourself.

Ages 20–64
Not routinely covered by OHIP. If you have a qualifying medical eye condition (diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, retinal or corneal disease, and others), OHIP covers one major exam every 12 months.

Authorized Essilor Dealer
Lens technology, explained
Every pair we fit can be built with Essilor's prescription lens technology — the same lenses recommended by opticians worldwide.
Varilux — Progressive Lenses
No-line multifocals engineered around natural eye and head movement, for smoother transitions between distance, intermediate, and near vision.
Crizal — Anti-Reflective Coating
Cuts glare and reflections, resists smudges, dust, and scratches, and keeps lenses clearer for longer — especially noticeable at night and on screens.
Eyezen — Everyday Digital Lenses
Single-vision lenses designed for people who move constantly between phones, screens, and the world around them, reducing digital eye fatigue.
Transitions® GEN S™ — Adaptive Lenses
Clear indoors, automatically darken in sunlight in as little as 2 minutes. One pair of everyday glasses that adjusts to the light instead of needing a separate pair of sunglasses.

Keep Them Looking New
Taking care of your glasses & lenses
A little daily habit goes a long way — most scratches and coating damage come from the wrong cleaning routine, not normal wear.
Daily
Rinse before you wipe
Rinse lenses under lukewarm water to loosen dust and grit before wiping — dry-wiping grinds particles across the coating.
Cleaning
Use the right tools
- Lens spray or a drop of dish soap
- A clean microfiber cloth only
- Never paper towels, tissues, or your shirt
Storage
Case, lenses up
Always store glasses in a hard case when not worn. If you set them down without a case, rest them lens-side up to avoid surface scratches.
Handling
Two hands on, two hands off
Removing glasses one-handed is the most common cause of loose or misaligned frames over time. Use both hands.
Heat
Keep them cool
Never leave glasses on a car dashboard or near a hot surface — heat can warp frames and damage lens coatings, including Crizal and Transitions.
Adjustments
Bring them in
Bent frames don't fix themselves. Bring glasses in periodically for a free adjustment and screw tightening rather than bending them yourself.
Contact lenses
Hygiene basics
- Wash and dry hands before handling lenses
- Never rinse with tap water
- Replace your case regularly, and follow your prescribed wear schedule
Coatings
Skip harsh chemicals
Avoid ammonia or vinegar-based household cleaners, hairspray, and saline aerosols near your lenses — they can break down anti-reflective coatings.
